
Who am I?
My name is Caitríona Rush, I am Irish, currently living in the Hague in the Netherlands. I have 20 years experience living, working and doing business with other cultures and set up At Home Abroad to make life easier, happier and more effective for you!
I love to travel and have been to over 40 countries across all 7 continents. I have lived and worked in 9 countries across the globe either on a professional level, as a student, or as a traveler earning funds to continue my journeys!
If you're reading this the chances are that you have worked, lived or travelled internationally and if your experiences are anything like mine you have probably realised that whilst living abroad and working with people from other cultures can be fun, it can also be challenging, frustrating, and (let's be honest) head wrecking at times.
Diverse cultures can have distinct norms (ways of doing things) and values (things that are important) that often clash with our own, both in the working environment and socially. They can also have very differing communication styles. Over the years I have seen many an international either leave a country because they couldn't come to grips with the local people and culture, or stay and lead a very unhappy life for the same reason. I have also seen many business deals lost and potential customers walk away due to lack of cultural understanding.
All my solutions are designed with your particular needs in mind. Each situation is unique and that is reflected in the services I provide.
